CATALOGUE NOTES

A pair of famille verte foliate-rimmed plates, each brightly enameled to the interior with a central medallion enclosing a large butterfly above peony, daisy, and chrysanthemum blooms issuing from rockwork, encircled by a leafy strapwork band, the rim molded with petal-shaped lobes each enameled with a flower-filled ruyi head below an iron-red chevron band. The exterior with thee simple floral sprays, all supported on a short tapering foot.
