CATALOGUE NOTES

Famille verte porcelain teapot and cover of globular form with ear handle and short, straight everted spout. Surmounted by a dome shaped cover with flanged lip and knob finial. The teapot is decorated with Immortals being carried over a turgid sea by various sea creatures; the collar and flanged rim of the cover with a narrow band of floral reserves; and the balance of the cover with flowerheads. All finely painted in famille verte enamels upon a luminous white ground.
