    CATALOGUE NOTES

    A famille verte deep flared bowl, decorated on the exterior with rectangular shaped panels painted with peacocks on a rock promontory, looking up at the moon in a mountainous river landscape, all on a floral blue enamel flower head ground and decorated with a lute, bell, wind instruments and cymbals. The Interior painted in the well with a yellow chilong dragon, encircled by floral reserves of  orchid, prunus, chrysanthemum, cymbidium and orchid on blue enamel reserves on an aubergine enamel diaper ground. The foot rim with a scroll design. The underside with a six-character mark of Chenghua in underglaze blue within a double ring.
