    CATALOGUE NOTES

    A famille verte vase with flared mouth painted on the lower part with a wide band of eight alternative stylized gourds and bells enclosing chrysanthemum and peony flowers and foliage. The former issued from ruyi-heads, reserved on an iron-red ground, all above a band of penciled triangles. Below are four lion masks and ring handles supporting pendant lotus plants with bands of lotus blooms and foliage. There is a high flared foot with a band of petals.
