    CATALOGUE NOTES

The circular pear-shaped form rises from a short, slightly flared foot to a galleried top rim. The high scrolling handle is mirrored by the narrow spout which is joined to the neck by an elegant scrolling strut. The body is decorated with a green cracked-ice pattern with scattered blossoms and on either side with a large peach-form reserve containing flowering plants. The flat cover is surmounted by a double-gourd finial highlighted in gilt.
