CATALOGUE NOTES

Pair of famille verte porcelain beaker shaped vases. The first vase is decorated on the lower section with a scene of women throwing detectible from a terraced pavilion to the famed young poet Pan Yue, who is being wheeled through the courtyard by a servant, and accompanied by attendants; the upper section, with a scene of a visitation by an Immortal before the Emperor and attendants. The second vase is decorated on the lower section with an audience before the Emperor; the upper sections, with an interior court scene with military figures and a court lady.
