    CATALOGUE NOTES

    A pair of famille verte Buddhist lions of unusual form, each stands on a leaf-shaped plinth with one leg raised above a loosed reticulated ball. They have loose eyes and applied curls of fur on the mane, face, black and elbows. Remains of red enamel paint are visible on the mouth, forehead and bodies. A small tubular joss stick holder is attached to the stalk end of the base.
