CATALOGUE NOTES

A pair of dishes. Each of shallow, saucer form with slightly flaring edge, supported on a short footrim with recessed base. Decorated in underglaze blue and famille verte enamels. Painted in the center with a large, pierced basket filled and overflowing with vibrant chrysanthemum and peony blossoms, encircled by two black lines and enclosed at the rim with a border of oblong panels each containing a floral sprig and surrounded by a dense ground of scrolling chrysanthemum blooms. The base painted in the center in underglaze blue with a double blue line circle.
