    CATALOGUE NOTES

    A highly unusual circular bowl decorated on the exterior with three biscuit Buddhist lions set into an underglaze blue ground, the biscuit areas incised and enhanced with early green, red and white cold and White color, the interior painted in underglaze blue with a stylized lotus bloom medallion in the well within a band of buds, the side with four further floral medallions interspersed with clouds, all below a border at the rim of stylized flower heads.
