    CATALOGUE NOTES

     A blue and white pear shaped vase with biscuit handles, each side painted in bright tones of underglaze blue with a figural scene, one of a scholar in a landscape, the other of two fishermen in a river landscape, with lotus sprays between them positioned below etch of the dragon loop and loose ring handles, left in the biscuit and bearing traces of dark red pigment, with antiques on the necks and a ruyi band encircling the spreading pedestal foot.
