CATALOGUE NOTES

Blue, white, and copper red circular box and cover.

The box is of squat baluster shape supported on a short, straight foot with the neck short and inwardly tapering. It is decorated with three large peony blooms, the veins of the petals picked out in copper-red, surrounded by scrolling peony leaves and sinuous stems. The shallow domed cover is similarly decorated.
