    CATALOGUE NOTES

    Jar with a rounded tapering body and a straight-sided cover with a flat top. The jar decorated in fine famille verte enamels with four panels of birds and mythical animals in landscapes, separated by bands of iron-red diaper with flowers and ruyi heads, a yellow-ground band of scrolling dragons and lotus flowers to the shoulder, and a band of iron-red diaper and floral reserves below the neck. The cover decorated with a bird amid scrolling lotus with butterflies and floral sprays around the sides.
